Baby wipes

You will love this recipe for diaper wipes. They're fresh, smell wonderful, and additive free.

Making your own diaper wipes is a relatively inexpensive thing to do. This recipe will make the equivalent of four refills of over-the-counter packs of diaper wipes.

  TECHNIQUE
3 quart round re-sealable container or quart-size zip plastic bag.
1 jumbo roll of paper towels
2 3/4 cups of water (heated)
1 tablespoon of baby oil
2 tablespoons of baby bath

  INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Begin by cutting the roll of paper towels in half using a utility knife. Remove the cardboard tube from the center. The easiest way to get the center out of the towels is by running your finger down between the towels and the cardboard roll. Push the cardboard roll in towards the middle to separate it from the towels. When it becomes loose, pull the roll out and throw away.
  2. Mix the water, baby bath and baby oil in a pan. Sir over medium heat until warm—do not boil. Let cool.
  3. After the mixture has cooled, place half of the paper towels in the container or zip plastic bag, close the lid and turn the container upside down. Wait for the entire roll to become saturated.
  4. They are ready to use!
  5. Pulling them from the center of the roll makes a easy to tear off.
