Lorena García, a native of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, México; came to the United States when she was 12 years old. There, she resided in Hobbs, New Mexico for the next years and went to Edison Elementary, Houston Jr. High, Hobbs High and NMJC before moving on to Texas Tech. After graduating from Texas Tech University , she decided to start her Television career. She begun internships with local radio and television stations and in 1997 was hired to CO-host the number one spanish radio talk show in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. La Fabulosa KESS1270 AM -Chile,Tomate y Cebolla with Ermilo Oviedo. Thereafter, Lorena would launch her own television show, Con Usted y para Usted a 30 minute entertainment program where she interviewed celebrities, took her audience sky diving or car racing at the Texas Motor Speedway. As a result of her show, major companies in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area hired her as a spokesperson, as well as, an opportunity to present the weather and the entertainment section in a well known spanish television station. Presently, Lorena is launching her first calendar, Lorena 2001, that promises to be as successful as her other endeavors. |
